Update Your Browser

To help you jump start the new year, we’re posting thirty-one technology and business treats, one for each day of January.

Hopefully, you are using a modern browser. Simply speaking, the browser is what allows you to view the internet. You may know it by Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, or Opera. Hopefully, you’re keeping whatever you use updated.

However, we know that most of our clients do not update their browsers. We also encourage our clients to use anything other than Internet Explorer. We have great reasons, but won’t bore you with the details. Suffice it to say that websites and surfing the web will be much more pleasurable and more likely to work as intended with an updated modern browser.

Google keeps Chrome updated so Chrome users don’t really have to manage that themselves.

Mozilla’s Firefox  is very popular and also an excellent choice. Firefox also now automatically updates.

Apple delivers it’s iPhones, iPods, and iPads with mobile Safari and it’s laptops and desktops with Safari. You’re probably aware of the software updates that alert you to updating. Do it when the alert comes, and you’re done!
